Fiona Harvey, Lead Net Zero Consultant from Amber, a leading UK Energy Management consultancy, talks with us about her journey and experience with Carbon+Alt+Delete. Why did you transition from Excel to Carbon+Alt+Delete software?
Previously to implementing the Carbon+Alt+Delete software, Amber relied heavily on Excel for carbon footprinting. Amber’s own carbon footprinting tool worked well but was quickly outgrown. As the capabilities of Excel were slow and limited, it became clear they needed a tool that could better handle large volumes of data at speed.
The journey to finding the right software involved comparing over 30 different options before discovering Carbon+Alt+Delete. Fiona recalled, “We discovered multiple software options, but many came with consultancy services we just didn’t need. We eventually found Carbon+Alt+Delete through a webinar. This was exciting as it was clear their software was made with consultants in mind and aligned with our core needs.”

We can now calculate Scope 3 emissions on a much larger scale and make it more understandable for both our clients and our colleagues.”
How do future developments look like for Carbon+Alt+Delete?
Looking ahead, Fiona has a clear vision for further improvements on the carbon accounting platform. “The exported data and financial modelling are two areas where we see room for improvement. Presenting data more appealingly will help us attract more customers and reduce the time we spend making results clear and presentable.”
Looking forward, Fiona is enthusiastic about recommending the software. “The tool itself works great and has very useful features.
