Back in 2022, First Climate started looking for a tool to improve their capacity for simultaneous carbon accounting projects. Marc Selariu, senior consultant at First Climate, talks about his team’s experience with the Carbon+Alt+Delete software and how it helped to streamline and further improve their carbon accounting services.

“In the past, carbon accounting mostly involved spreadsheets and manual data entry,” he said. “So we started looking for smart tools that could assist us in delivering the most accurate carbon accounting services for our clients.”

When asked about the specific challenges that Carbon+Alt+Delete helps First Climate with, Marc was clear: “The automation is a game changer.” Manually collecting and verifying data required a significant amount of time and slowed the carbon accounting process. “Now, much of that part is automated, which means that we can work much more efficiently.”
“Our main goal is to improve the timeliness of our carbon reports without compromising on quality, and the software has really helped us with that. We’re now able to deliver more reports faster.” He emphasized how crucial this is, especially for staying compliant with increasingly strict carbon regulations.
